Job: SUPPLY CHAIN ASSISTANT
Job responsibilities:
• Purchase and Logistics assistant would coordinate and monitor the transfer of goods and materials from manufacturers and suppliers all the way through to customers;
• Well organized, a good negotiator and can work with people at all levels;
• Need to be a good problem solver and have excellent communication skills;
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers;
• Plan the best way to get goods from suppliers to distribution centers then on to retailers;
• Track shipments and stock levels using computer software;
• Monitor overall performance to make sure targets are being met;
• Prepare forecasts and inventories for reports to the company’s management team;
• Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws;
• Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements;
• Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect
• Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success;
• Other tasks by order of the manager or director.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree is preferable in Supply Chain Management (or Industrial Logistics);
• Minimum of 1 (one) year work experience;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks;
• Ability to keep clear and concise records;
• Good communication skills oral and verbal (English);
• Effective communication & negotiation skills;
• Sound knowledge of MS-Office package.
